The Cisco LGW Config Generator is a tool that helps creating Cisco IOS XE configurations that connect your telephony environment to Webex Calling.
At the time of writing, the tool is in a POC phase, so you will find limited functionalities but there are future enhancements planned that you will hopefully find interesting.
FAQ
Is this supported or sponsored by Cisco?
The configurations you obtain from the tool are of course supported (just like any CUBE configuration you create).
The configurator itself is not a Cisco product and Cisco is not funding it, but it’s developed and maintained by a Cisco employee (
Filippo Gallinaro ) as a personal project.
I found a bug that I would like to report, or I have a feature request: how can I contribute?
First of all thank you for your help! You can create an issue on github, or you can write me an email.
I work for a Carrier or PSTN Service Provider, and would like to provide a reference trunk configuration for our service, what should I do?
This is fantastic! Please do reach out directly by writing me an email.
Can I use these configurations in my environment?
Yes, of course. But all content in this site is provided “AS IS”. The author makes no other warranties, express or implied, and hereby disclaims all implied warranties, including any warranty of merchantability and warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. The general terms of use for this site are available here.
There is a password field in the form, is my data safe?
Whichever password you enter in the template creation form, that password is not leaving your browser, and neither the author of the site nor the hosting provider will be able to see it, let alone capture it.
For additional peace of mind, you can simply leave the dummy password placeholder, and remember to substitute the placeholder string with the actual password when you import the configuration into your router.
I am considering to deploy Webex Calling and I need more info, can I contact you?
In principle yes, always happy to discuss an opportunity, but the best way forward would be to reach out to your Cisco Account Manager and let them know about your interest. The account manager can engage experts from the Global Collaboration Sales Team who will be assisting you in doing system design and planning.
The specific configuration I need is not available, can you create it?
Sure, please submit an issue describing the type of topology and call flow that you are trying to accomplish.
